Welcome New Zealand

2018 will see the return of New Zealand to the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup.

It has been a couple of years since New Zealand joined us in Fiji so we are very excited to welcome them back.

Manukau City will be representing the region of Auckland in the Boys Youth competition, and we can expect some keen competition from the squad. 2018 was a good year for them in their local competition and this is an ideal challenge to step onto the international stage.

Head Coach   Sheik Azeel Saheb is confident they will bring an attacking brand of football to excite the crowds. Some of the players have family backgrounds in Fiji and they are keen to show they have learnt a lot of new skills in New Zealand.

Although Fiji is recognised as a great family holiday destination, the Manukau City team is preparing hard with regular training sessions. Sheik proudly stated his team has some good players but more importantly work together and it is this combination that they see will be an advantage.

We wish Manukau City good luck for their games in the Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup.
